Elderly woman taken to hospital after car crash.
Three fire engines and police and ambulance were called to the crash which happened yesterday evening. The incident happened on Humberston Road, between the Grosvenor pub and the mini-roundabout at the junction with Park Lane.
A car hit two stationary vehicles and the elderly woman driving the car became medically trapped. The road was blocked partially while emergency services dealt with the accident. It is believed that the woman was able to get herself into the ambulance after being administered first aid and oxygen by paramedics.
