By ‘Bobby Bubbles’, real name Rob Jamieson, was booked by parents for their children’s parties for years across Hull and East Yorkshire.
But behind the mask was the face of a paedophile, and on Monday Jamieson was sentenced to 14 years in prison for a string of historic child sex offences involving a girl under the age of 13, including four of indecency with a child and two of sexual intercourse with a girl under 13. It is understood Jamieson struck up a friendship with the girl, groomed her and then sexually abused her.
Jamieson, of Beech Grove, Hull, denied the charges but a jury hearing his case found him guilty and convicted him following a trial at Sheffield Crown Court.
