Don’t leave your pup lonely this Christmas.

Don’t leave your dog alone at Christmas.

The RSPCA has warned that leaving your dog alone at Christmas for hours. It can leave them feeling sad and lonely and struggling to cope.

RSPCA have said that dogs should not be left alone for more than four hours. Many pet owners think it is acceptable to leave them all day.

Some animals when left on their own will bark, use the toilet more and destroy things to show that they are not happy. But some will just sit there suffering in silence.

The RSPCA say it is important to give increased care to beloved pooches during the busy Christmas period. When families often spend more time away from home.

Millions of dogs struggle when left alone according to a survey. A fifth of dog owners believes it is acceptable to leave their dogs on their own. And 21% of owners thought it okay to leave their pooch alone for more than 24hrs. 39% of owners admitted to leaving their dogs home alone for seven hours or more every day. Which contributes to a sense of sadness or loneliness in their pets.
