By Driver arrested for drink driving, fleeing scene and harming police.
Audi driver kicked police officers who were taking him to get check out at the hospital, after he wrapped his car around a lamppost. Police was called to Sudeley Road Monday night after reports of a crash.
The driver of a grey audi crashed into a signpost which then caused him to flee before the police had reported to the scene. Fortunately police found the driver nearby.
The driver from Swindon, was a 33 year old man who was suspected drink driving. When found by police he was taken to Great Western hospital, once he had arrived he kicked out at the officers which accompanied him.
It was said that the 33 year old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, failing to stop at the scene of the accident and two common account of assault on an emergency worker.
The driver remains in custody.
