Police were called to Sainsbury’s on Corporation Road this afternoon when a screaming shoplifter with her leg in a cast tried to flee on a mobility scooter.
Police arrived in two police vans and two cars and the woman who has been described as a nefarious shoplifter was arrested. It is believed she was caught with around £150 worth of goods. When she was caught she turned loud and violent and tried to flee on a mobility scooter.
It is thought she was still screaming at officers when they were getting her into the police van.
