Wife caught her husband grooming 14-year-old-girl.
A suspicious wife who suspected her husband was having an affair set up a secret camera in his office. But she was shocked to discover that he had been having intimate sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl. His wife is believed to have confronted him with an image from the filming and he confessed immediately.
Anthony Merrikin 42 a builder of Blundell Ave, admitted three offences of sexual activity with a child and another of causing a child to engage in sexual activity. Antony Merrikin along with his wife set up the charity Memory Mascots and was also involved in a marching band.
It is believed that the girl which he had been grooming has been left feeling worthless, dirty, and horrible and her school life suffered.
Merrikin had pleaded guilty at an early stage and had shown remorse. Antony Merrikin formerly of Bentley Street, Cleethorpes was jailed for six years and nine months. He was also given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and has to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
