Carer accused of mistreating elderly patients.

Paige Todd 27 was a senior carer at Brooklands Nursing and Residential Home. Is accused of willfully neglecting or ill-treating four residents at the care home.

It has been alleged that she swiped one in the face with an incontinence pad, another with an item of clothing, and screamed in the face of another resident. In yet another incident she is alleged to have pushed a female resident back against a wall.

Paige Todd has denied she ill-treated or neglected four patients that were in her care at the home On Springfield Road Scartho between 2017-2018.

All four residents are believed to have been too unwell to make statements, and sadly they have all died since. Other members of staff are believed to have witnessed the alleged mistreatment. After a number of disciplinary hearings, Todd resigned on May 30th, 2018.

The trial continues at Grimsby Crown Court.
