An update on the Scartho stabbing

Stabbing after 16th birthday in Portsmouth

An update on Friday’s stabbing in Scartho has now been issued by Humberside Police.

As previously reported, a woman has been seriously injured after being stabbed during a domestic incident.

Humberside Police were called to Purbeck Road, Grimsby, at around 1.50pm after receiving reports that a someone had been stabbed with a knife.

The victim was taken to hospital but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

There was a large police presence in the area following the incident as officers cordoned off a section of the road and made door to door enquiries.

Humberside Police have arrested two people in connection with the stabbing. They remain in police custody but are not said to pose any further risk to the public.

In their update for the Scartho stabbing, a spokesperson for the Humberside Police said:

“Our investigations are in their very early stages. It is not thought there is any risk to the public in the area and we would appeal for anyone with information that would help with our enquiries to call us on 101 quoting log 289, February 28, 2020. “
