CCTV released after Doncaster lockdown burglary
South Yorkshire Police have released CCTV images following a burglary committed in Doncaster during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Police in Doncaster have said they would like to speak to the men shown in the images in connection to a burglary of a local business which was committed during the lockdown, while people are expected to remain at home except for essential travel, and when many businesses are already suffering from losses during closures.
It is reported that between 10:45pm and 11:30pm on Saturday 25 March 2020, two men broke into the property on Marr Tree Business Park, Silk Road, by breaking a window.
Four vans and a large quantity of cash were stolen. The vans were later recovered in the Wheatley area.
Police now believe that the men pictured may hold information which could help them in their investigation.
Do you recognise them? Did someone in your household leave home at the time of this offence? Do they own clothes like those in the pictures? Do you have suspicions they may have flouted the lockdown regulations to go and commit crime?
If you have any information which might help South Yorkshire Police officers in their investigation, please call 101 quoting crime reference number 14/54498/20 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
