Grimsby boy in custody for possession of bladed article

A 16 year-old teenage boy from Grimsby, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in custody for the possession of a bladed article, among other charges.

He appeared before Grimsby Magistrates Court last Thursday, 9 April, charged with robbery, threatening a person with a bladed article, theft from person, and two counts of aggravated vehicle taking.

He was remanded into custody by the court pending his next appearance.

According to Humberside Police, the robbery and theft relates to an incident in March, however following a vehicle failing to stop and crashing into parked vehicle the morning of the 8 April 2020, he was arrested and charged with these previous offences and the two counts of aggravated vehicle taking.

He is due to appear at Grimsby Crown Court on 11 May 2020.
