Man identified following Police appeal

A Hull man has come forward and identified himself following an appeal issued by Humberside Police last week.

The appeal sought to identify a man in connection with an assault on a Police Community Support Officer, which left him with injuries to his face and knee.

The man will be interviewed in relation to the offence.

Humberside Police have issued a statement thanking the public for their help in regards information provided following the appeal and leading to the identification of the man.

The incident happened at around 2.10pm on Wednesday, 8 April, when the PCSO challenged a man riding an off-road bike at Frome Road playing fields and the rider became aggressive towards him.

Police investigations continue and if anyone has any information that can help with the enquiries please call the non emergency number 101 quoting incident number 16/43006/20.
