Police seek witnesses to assault on Preston Road

Humberside Police have issued an appeal seeking two witnesses who came to the aid of an injured man following an assault on Preston Road, Hull.

Officers are investigating reports of a robbery and assault in Preston Road, Hull.

The incident happened between 10am and 11am on Friday, 1 May, close to the doctor’s surgery and was reported to the police the following day.

The 42-year-old victim had been walking in the area when he was approached by a man who was known to him, who is said to have assaulted him and left the area.

The man was later assisted by two people who offered to call an ambulance but he declined and went home.

He then realised that his Samsung phone, cash and bank cards were missing.
