Humberside Police have reported that a wanted man has now been arrested, after being spotted in Scunthorpe yesterday.

The man is now in police custody after two eagle eyed PCSOs spotted a suspicious vehicle in Scunthorpe yesterday, Monday 11 May.

Two PCSOs from the Scunthorpe local community team were on patrol when they saw a suspicious vehicle in a driveway. They carried out checks on the vehicle and found that it was on false plates.

Two police officers attended the address a short time later where a wanted man was located and arrested on suspicion of harassment, drugs offences, theft of a motor vehicle and criminal damage.

The man is currently in police custody whilst enquiries continue.

Yesterday, the force announced that they had arrested two men on Burringham Road, after they also stopped a suspicious vehicle.

Officers reported that a substance suspected of being cannabis, cash, cultivating equipment and mobile phones were seized from a vehicle.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of money laundering, possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug. One of the men was also arrested for driving under influence of drugs.

The men remain in custody as this investigation also continues.
