Search for missing teen Louise Smith escalates

In the most recent developments, the search for missing Havant teenager Louise Smith has escalated, leading investigators to Rowlands Castle.

This comes after two people who were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping have now been released on bail.

The man and woman, both 29, were arrested on Friday.

But yesterday afternoon, Hampshire Police announced that the arrested pair had been freed on bail.

A police spokesperson said:

“Investigations are ongoing and we remain keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help us locate missing Louise.”

Officers have also searched Staunton Country Park. The team are said to be using sniffer dogs.

Louise, 16, was last seen at around midday on Friday, May 8 in Somborne Drive, Leigh Park.

She has not been in touch with friends or family since then. Police have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries and searches, as well as collecting CCTV as part of the investigation.

Now, investigators are said to have escalated their search for missing Havant teen Louise Smith to Rowlands Castle.

Search and rescue teams from the Isle of Wight and Sussex have also been called upon for help.

Louise is white, about 5ft 2in and slim with straight, black, shoulder-length hair

She was last seen wearing black jeans, a black and white striped T-shirt, black trainers and a black coat with a fur hood.
