Were you at Weelsby Woods yesterday morning – if so, did you witness a theft?
Officers for Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Weelsby Woods, Grimsby, yesterday morning.
The incident occurred at 10.35am on Tuesday 26 May.
It was reported that a bag, containing cash and an iPhone was stolen.
The suspect is described as a man on a dark coloured bike wearing a brown t-shirt with writing on the back.
A man was arrested following a short police pursuit, he has now been bailed pending further police enquiries.
A statement released by Humberside Police reads:
“We are particularly keen to talk to a man who attempted to chase down the suspect following the incident, as he could provide key information to help our investigation. We also believe cyclists and dog walkers may have seen the suspect fleeing the scene.
