The driver of a BMW car was injured after an incident where they crashed into a wall on Whippendell Road in Watford last night.

Emergency services, including police, ambulance and fire services were called to the scene at around 10.10pm on Thursday evening, following reports of a collision.

Officers for Hertfordshire Constabulary say one vehicle was involved – a black BMW M4.

The police say they do not know why the vehicle left the road but that it ended up crashing into a wall near the junction with Harwoods Road.

The driver suffered slight injuries, the police spokesperson added.

Last night, Hertfordshire Constabulary wrote the following statement on Facebook:
