By Man dies having been found in car on Welholme Road
Officers for Humberside Police have confirmed that a man has sadly died in an incident on Welholme Road, Grimsby, having been found in his car.
The road was temporarily closed to drivers between Park Drive and Welholme Avenue for around two hours as emergency services attended the scene.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night, when a 76-year-old man was found in a car that had stopped in the middle of the road.
Police received reports of concern for the man’s safety.
East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the scene, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said:
“Officers attended an incident in Welholme Road, Grimsby, after reports of concerns for the safety of a man in a vehicle which was stationary in the middle of the road.
“Sadly, a 76-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is prepared for the coroner.”
No cause has death has been given.
