A message of hope from Grimsby Grange and Manor

A team of staff and residents at Grimsby Grange and Manor, part of the Orchard Care Homes group, have recorded a heartwarming rendition of ‘We Are the World’, to spread a message positivity and hope during this difficult time.

The video can be viewed here, on Orchard Care Homes’ Facebook page.

It has now received an overwhelming 9k views and counting!

Caroline Whelpton, Care Home Manager at Orchard Care Homes said:

“The staff and service users at Grimsby Grange and Manor care home wanted to do something a little different, and send a message that there is a brighter future ahead.

“As we know many of our residents have not been able to see their families in person for some time, due to Covid restrictions and operating a safe service.

“Fortunately at Grimsby Grange and Manor we currently remain Covid-Free, which is such a privileged position to be in, as we know there are others less fortunate.  Our song is to show how much we all care.

“All staff members have face masks on, which is part of our everyday at Grimsby Grange and Manor – to protect our residents. We hope you enjoy our video and share”

Throughout the coronavirus pandemic there have been displays of community spirit and optimism, with people decorating their windows with rainbows and shows of support for our nations key workers.

Those at Grimsby Grange and Manor, many of whom have been isolated from their families due to the circumstances, hope to extend this message, spreading hope and positivity across the community.
