Man seriously injured during assault at Britannia Corner
Detectives for Humberside Police are investigating an assault at Britannia Corner, Scunthorpe, after a man was seriously injured.
The attack took place on Thursday 21 May.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to get in touch.
The incident is said to have happened shortly after 3pm at Britannia Corner, where Oswald Road meets High Street.
It is reported that an altercation took place between two men, during which one of the men allegedly assaulted the other, causing him to suffer serious head injuries.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault.
He has been released on conditional bail while police enquiries continue.
