Humberside Police arrest 286 in two weeks

Humberside Police’s Operation Galaxy have arrested 286 people in two weeks in connection with a variety of offences.

The task force is currently tackling community crimes across the Humberside Force area.

Earlier, the force released a statement on how they are protecting vulnerable people.

Within a fortnight, those involved with Operation Galaxy have also carried out a total of 51 warrants.

Many of these resulted in officers seizing drugs, cash and weapons and taking them off our streets, preventing them from being used in crime.

Today, officers arrested two men and a teenage boy on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply at the address on Eastgate where officers also seized a quantity of suspected class A drugs.

They seized weapons, cash and suspected class A drugs.

Arrest attempts for outstanding wanted people have also been carried out.

As a result of this, Officers have brought people into custody on suspicion of offences including rape, assault and threats to kill.

Our Roads Policing Team have also been stopping vehicles and carrying out searches where appropriate.

A spokesperson for Humberside Police said:
