Police find suspect asleep in car in Hull
Officers for Humberside Police have reported finding a suspect asleep in a car in Hull.
A member of the public called the police shortly after 1.20am on Wednesday 10 June, reporting that they’d heard and witnessed a man breaking into cars on Greek Street in Hull.
It is alleged that the suspect had been seen going from car to car, trying to gain entry to vehicles.
He was also seen pulling a blue wheelie-bin along with him.
Officers arrived on the scene shortly after at 1.30am, to find the suspect asleep in one of the cars.
He was then arrested and taken into police custody.
The man has subsequently been released pending investigation.
Detectives involved in the case are appealing for possible victims to contact them.
The blue wheelie-bin contained a number of items, and police are led to believe that they had been stolen from the area around Greek Street that night.
Officers are therefore hoping to find the rightful owners of this property.
