Resurfacing to begin on Louth Road and Scartho Road
Works are due to begin next week to resurface parts of the carriageway on Louth Road and Scartho Road.
The works, which are set to cost around £170,000, are part of North East Lincolnshire Council’s Local Transport Delivery Plan for this year to make sure the highway is safe and in good condition for the benefit of all road users.
Improvements on Louth Road will take place between the Scartho Fork roundabout and Gordon Gardens.
It will include the replacement of existing gullies, carriageway resurfacing, improvements to the existing pedestrian crossing at St Giles Avenue and the installation of a new pedestrian crossing point at the Westkirke Avenue junction.
Works are expected to begin on Monday 22 June and to be completed by Friday 3 July.
Temporary traffic signals will be in place between 7:30am and 6pm each day.
Carriageway resurfacing works will take place from Monday 6 July and take five nights to complete in two phases.
Traffic management arrangements will be in place between 7pm and 11pm between Scartho Fork roundabout and St Giles Avenue, and a road closure will be in place between Pinfold Lane and Gordon Gardens between midnight and 4am.
Carriageway resurfacing works on Scartho Road, taking place between Scartho Fork roundabout and Edge Avenue, will start on Monday 22 June and take five nights to complete.
A full road closure will be in place each night between 7pm and 6am.
Access to Pelham Avenue will be maintained from Scartho Fork roundabout.
Access to Matthew Telford Park and Scartho Top will be maintained from the northern end of Scartho Road.
While both closures are in place, advanced warning signs and a signed diversion route will be in operation.
Access for emergency vehicles and bus services will be maintained.
Delays are expected.
The works will be managed and overseen by North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE, and carried out by contractor, Specialist Surfacing Ltd.
