By Travel By You open for bookings
Located on Freeman Street, Travel By You will be opening its doors for appointments only.
Opening from 8:30am to 9pm, 7 days a week for appointment only, customers are able to choose a time and date and have the shop exclusively to themsleves.
Having worked in the travel industry for over 17 years, Josey Edwards always dreamt of setting up her own travel agents, and in January she decided to take the plunge.
Josey Edwards said
“Coronavirus just came into the UK as I signed up for my membership with the TTA (Travel Trust Association). I got the keys for the shop, managed to get it all decorated when the government started the UK lockdown.”
With the threat of Covid-19, all plans for Travel By You’s grand opening came to an halt.
“It was sad to see all my efforts and excitement come to a stand still but what really matters is everyone’s health and protection from the virus and if we all are safe that’s the most important part during this time.”
When forced to close the shop, Josey began working from home, perfecting her business and assisting others who had been affected by airline and hotel cancellations, aswell as helping to rebook for a later date.
As non-essential shops are beginning to reopen with the 2m social distacning measures in place.
Josey plans on sharing holiday destionations and ideas through visual displays, along with providing a friendly customer experience.
“I’m really looking forward to opening and meeting my old and new customers in a beautiful store and helping make the perfect holiday moments that you can bring home and share.”
