The Adventure Drive-In, which will provide a drive in cinema and socially distanced party nights, is coming to Scunthorpe.

Film fans will be able to get their big screen fix at a drive-in cinema.

The tour will be at Scunthorpe United’s Sands Venue Stadium for three days between Friday 17 July and Sunday 19 July.

This follows the easing of lockdown rules which now allows drive-in cinemas and other outdoor attractions to open.

Cinema buffs will be able to enjoy outdoor screenings of their favourite films, new and old, from the safety and comfort of their cars.

There will also be in-car dance parties for those missing their nights out.

Passengers will be able to tune into club classics or 1980s and 90s party anthems set to visuals on the giant screen and a full light show.

Sound will be transmitted via state-of-the-art speakers given to each car upon arrival allowing passengers to tune into different channels at the flick of a switch.

Ben Lovell, Co-Director of Adventure Drive-In, said:

“We are extremely excited to launch our Adventure Drive-In tour and feel that drive-in offers the perfect solution for events when social distancing is required.

“We’ll be using our breadth of experience from the last three years within outdoor cinema, creating a memorable experience for all those who attend.

“Not only do we have some fantastic movies to show, we also have music events that bring you the ultimate in-car party.

“We cannot wait!”

The Adventure Drive-In will show classic movies and newer films, as well as being the venue for socially-distanced music party nights.

Cars will be spaced apart to allow for social distancing, and vehicle registrations will be scanned upon entry to avoid contact between staff and customers.

Patrons will be permitted to bring their own food and drink, as non will be on sale on site.
