By Lord of the ring actor Sir Ian Holm has died , 88
Actor Sir Ian Holm, know for his role as Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings films and as Ash in Alien, has died aged 88.
In a statement, his agent said:
“It is with great sadness we can confirm that the actor Sir Ian Holm CBE passed away this morning at the age of 88,”
“He died peacefully in hospital with his family and carer.”
The statement also confirmed, that Holm’s illness was Parkinson’s related.
