Violent attack on woman in Immingham

Humberside Police have launched an appeal following a violent attack on a woman in Immingham.

It is alleged that the incident took place on Stallingborough Road in Immingham, at approximately 5pm on Sunday 21 June.

The victim, a woman, reported that a man pushed her against a car causing her to sustain injuries to her arm.

She was taken to hospital to be treated and the injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The man is also alleged to have assaulted a second woman within the same incident by grabbing her throat.

She reported no injuries.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assault and has been placed on conditional bail as police investigations continue.

In a statement released this morning, a Humberside Police spokesperson said:

“We are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault on Stallingborough Road in Immingham, which took place at approximately 5pm on Sunday 21 June.

“If you believe you may have witnessed the incident, or have CCTV footage that could help with our investigation, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 16/65681/20.
