Racially motivated assault on Anlaby Road
Humberside Police have reported that on Monday 22 June, a 14-year-old boy was assaulted in a racially motivated incident on Anlaby Road, Hull.
The incident is thought to have taken place at around 2:30pm.
It is alleged that a group of 12-15-year-olds, who were known to the boy, assaulted him on the field behind Anlaby Road/Springfield Road in Hull.
Racially abusive language was also reported to have been used towards the victim during the assault.
The victim suffered some injuries to his head as a result of the attack.
Thankfully, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
So far, three people have been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated grievous bodily harm and have been released under investigation as police continue enquiries.
Two women were seen walking a dog in the area at the time and officers for Humberside Police would like to speak to them.
It is believed that they may have witnessed the attack and could provide key information to help with the ongoing investigation.
