Closures on M180
Two weeks of closures and disruptions are due to start on the M180 near Scunthorpe this weekend, as urgent resurfacing works commence.
Lane closures, diversions and speed limit reductions will also be in force during the works by Highways England.
According to Highways England, the M180 carriageway surface is deteriorating.
For the safety of motorists, it urgently needs joint repairs, as well as resurfacing.
Repair works will begin on the westbound carriageway on Saturday, June 27 between junctions three and one.
The road will be closed overnight in that direction between 8pm and 6am for two weeks until Tuesday 14 July.
24-hour closures of westbound junction 2 entry and exit slip roads will be in place from Saturday, July 4 to Tuesday, July 14
There will also be an overnight lane closure on the westbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 1.
This will run from Wednesday, July 15 to Sunday, July 19. There will be a 50mph speed limit in operation
And, daytime lane closure on the westbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 1 will be operational from Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July with a 50mph speed limit in operation.
Diversions will be in place.
Drivers will leave the M180 at the M181 junction near Scunthorpe, follow the A18, and rejoin at junction one.
Those travelling eastbound will not be affected.
