Violent Attack in North Hull

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following a violent attack that took place on Wednesday 24 June, at approximately 11.30pm on Ellerburn Avenue, in North Hull.

Last night, officers received reports that a group of around 20 youths approached four people in what is believed to be a random attack.

Several members of the group are reported to have been carrying weapons.

All four victims suffered cuts and bruises in the incident.

One man sustained more serious injuries to his face and arm.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody at this time.

The investigation continues to identify the remaining suspects, and Humberside Police are now urging witnesses to come forward.

Neighbourhood Inspector for Hull North, Mark Peasgood, said:

“I want to reassure the residents that we are investigating this serious incident and are actively looking to take action against those involved.

“With the help of Operation Galaxy, we are increasing patrols in the area, making sure we have officers on the ground to prevent, deter and take action against anyone committing offences.

“We will not tolerate violence in our communities and will do whatever it takes to keep those who live or visit here safe.
