How to celebrate Armed Forces Day 2020

Happy Armed Forces Day 2020!

Due to the impact of the coronavirus crisis and social distancing measures, Armed Forces Day celebrations are set to look a little different this year.

However, today is still a very special occasion to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, both past and present.

There are still a number of ways that people across the nation can still celebrate and show support for our armed forces during this difficult time.

Here are a few ideas:

If you know someone in the Armed Forces community – whether they’re currently serving or a veteran, you could send them a message or give them a call to show your support for the work they do.
You can join in and fly your own Armed Forces Day flag, bunting, hand-wavers, or banners. Search “Armed Forces Day Flag” on your preferred search engine to find your options.
Host a virtual celebration with friends and family via video chat, or even an Armed Forces themed quiz. Remember to share your photos with @armedforcesday by using #ArmedForcesDay on your posts.
