Emergency services, including four police cars, a police van and a dog unit have rushed to field and lake near Lincoln.

The large police response was prompted by reports of anti-social behaviour at Millennium Lake and the Memorial Field in North Hykeham on Thursday, June 25, according to an eyewitness.

Lincolnshire Police have been praised for the swift response.

Police say there were called to the area because of anti-social behaviour but say no crime was committed.

They also said the area was cleared “within minutes”.

A spokesperson for the force added:

“We received a report at 5.51pm, yesterday, June 25, of anti-social behaviour at Millennium Lake, North Hykeham.”

“Officers attended and deemed that no offences had been committed, although advice was given.”

Locals fed up with the amount of localised anti-social behaviour praised the swift actions of the officers.

During lockdown, the town has been hit with a string of people flouting the rules and using the area surrounding Millenium Lake for recreational drinking.

Earlier this month the nearby Apex Lake was partially closed due to issues with anti-social behaviour.
