Thames Valley Police have made a further arrest in connection with a murder investigation in Oxford.
On Saturday 27 June, Police were shocked to discover the body 33-year-old Anthony Joyce, aged 33, of Redbridge Hollow. After a post-mortem discovered fatal head wounds, a murder investigation was launched.
On the same day, John Francis Joyce, aged 30, of Redbridge Hollow, was charged with one count of murder. Mr Frances has been remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court tomorrow (3 July).
Now, Police have confirmed that a 21-year-old man from Oxford was arrested yesterday (1 July) on suspicion of assisting an offender and currently remains in police custody.
The wife of Anthony Joyce has today released the following tribute:
“All the memories we’ve had together – I’ve a pain in my heart that won’t go away. I want you to watch over me and Mary Kate. But I can’t accept that you’ve gone. I keep expecting you to open the door and say, ‘What’s wrong my Margaret?’. I don’t have words to express the pain I have in my heart. I will never forget you. Anthony was loud and merry, but he was harmless; he never held grudges. He had a good heart and is going to be missed by family and friends in England and Ireland.”
