Phone ‘n’ Ride returns to full service

In line with the easing of lockdown restrictions North East Lincolnshire Council have announced that the Phone ‘n’ Ride service will be returning to full service.

On Monday 1 June, the service resumed to support residents with essential travel to and from work, attending medical appointments and shopping trips.

Now, it will also be accepting leisure and social trips.

In line with the recent announcements by Government, passengers are now able to travel for leisure and social trips with the service returning to its normal operating abilities, with strict cleaning and social distancing measures in place.

All passengers are required to wear face coverings, as is the case on all public transport.

A statement issued by the Council said:

“In line with Government guidance, face coverings are not required to be worn by children under the age of three or those who may find it difficult to wear one correctly, such as passengers with breathing difficulties, young children or disabled passengers.

“If you are unsure if you need to wear one, contact the Booking Team for advice.

“If you would like to register and book a journey, contact the Phone ‘n’ Ride Booking Team on (01472) 324440.”
