A Hull man arrested as part of Operation Galaxy is now in prison awaiting his sentence for a number of drug offences.

Kaywan Karimi, 24, was spotted on CCTV dealing drugs in Pearson Park on Thursday, July 8.

He was stopped by officers in the area before attempting to flee the scene.

Officers perused him and caught him.

They discovered a number of pre-prepared ‘deals’ of cannabis in his jacket.

Karimi appeared before Beverley Magistrates Court the following day, where he admitted being in possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

He was subsequently remanded to appear at Hull Crown Court for sentencing on August 7.

The Operation Galaxy team have now arrested 741 people, with 232 charged and awaiting their day in court.

Other similar arrests include two men found at an address in Freehold Street, Hull, who were discovered with a cannabis supply valued at £1,700.

A 21-year-old man at a property in Redbourne Road in Grimsby was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Officers recovered class A drugs with an estimated value of £200, £40 of cannabis, £340 cash and other drugs paraphernalia.

Three men from Scunthorpe were also arrested.

One was on suspicion of a burglary, and the other two in relation to sexual offences.
