Stash of stolen bikes discovered in Grimsby

A stash of stolen bikes have been discovered in Grimsby, after people continually reported theirs missing via social media.

Today, it was announced that arrests have been made following the discovery of approximately 75 bikes including two motorcycles at a property on Dunmow Street, Grimsby.

Officers have  identified many of those reported stolen or being sold on social media within this discovery.

This led to a 38-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were arrested on Sunday 12 July on suspicion of theft and handling stolen goods.

They have subsequently been released under investigation, while police enquiries continue.

Although locals have repeatedly named a woman they believe to be responsible for the crime, authorities have yet to identify a suspect.

A number of the bikes have been seized.

Officers have been able to reunite some of them with their rightful owners, but still have some to go.

Anyone who believes their bike may be among those found by Humberside Police should contact the force.
