North Lincolnshire Council’s leisure centres are set to reopen on July 25 with dramatic changes, following a period of closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

New rules will be introduced in line with government, public health, and industry body guidance.

This will ensure that when people return to the facilities they can do so in a safe environment.

The Pods, Ancholme Leisure Centre, Axholme North Leisure Centre, Baysgarth Leisure Centre and Epworth Leisure Centre all open on 25 July.

Swimming pools will open on 3 August.

Riddings Pool and Winterton Gym will open on 17 August.

The council say that measures have been introduced to protect customers and staff and to ensure social distancing.

Alongside social distancing measures, there will be an increase in the cleaning of buildings and equipment to ensure the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

All Fitness+ and adult swim memberships were frozen whilst the leisure centres were closed.

They will be re-activated on 1 September, until then, members will be able to use the facilities free of charge.
