By New appointments for local hospice
A local charity-run hospice, Lindsey Lodge Hospice, have elected a new chairman and vice chair.
Former Chair Andrew Horwich has decided to step down from his senior position, while remaining on the Board as a Trustee.
As such, Lindsey Lodge Hospice has appointed well-known local businessman Alan Bell as its new Chair and Dr Patricia Webster as Vice Chair.
The Burringham Road Hospice held its Annual General Meeting on 7 July, where the new chairman was agreed.
Alan Bell has been a Trustee at the Hospice for over two years, after six years as a Non-Executive Director of North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
Discussing the decision, Lindsey Lodge Hospice Chief Executive Karen Griffiths said:
“I’d like to congratulate Alan and Pat on their new roles and take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Andrew for his dedication and support over the past three years; we’re delighted that Andrew will remain on the Board.
“Lindsey Lodge Hospice is celebrating 28 years of care this year.
“We’re on the journey of securing the Hospice for its next chapter, where strategic direction and strong leadership will underpin our success.
“With this in mind, we welcome these changes to the Lindsey Lodge Board of Trustees.
“The trustees are volunteers and bring a wealth of experience, to inform and guide our decisions going forward.
“The Board exercises guardianship of the Hospice’s assets and resources and ensures their effective management and use.”
