Fatal collision on A18
A man has tragically died in a fatal collision on the A18 near Crowle, Humberside Police have confirmed.
Another man has been arrested in connection with the crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene near to Crowle crossroads at 11.40pm yesterday.
It was reported that a silver Subaru Forester Sport left the eastbound carriageway before travelling across a grassed area and coming to a stop in a ditch.
The road was closed in both directions at Crowle crossroads for around 11 hours late last night.
One man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not named the victim.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said:
“Officers investigating a fatal collision on the A18 near to Crowle Crossroads late last night, Tuesday 21 July, are asking anyone that witnessed the collision or the car being driven prior to the collision to get in touch.
“Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of the collision and we are asking any witnesses to get in touch.
“We are particularly keen to hear from the occupants of a silver vehicle that we believe may have been travelling in the area and may have stopped nearby following the collision.

“Alternatively you can report information anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
A police statement confirmed that his family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Another male driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody.
The road reopened at around 10.20am.
