Violent attack on Russell Street

Lincolnshire Police are investigating an incident where two people were violently attacked at an address in Russell Street, Lincoln.

The alleged assault is thought to have taken place at around 11.50pm on Wednesday 22 July.

Four men entered the property and assaulted two occupants.

The men were wearing black hooded tops and had their faces covered.

The occupants of the address, a man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s, received a head and hand injury respectively.

Both were taken to hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The four male suspects fled the scene before Lincolnshire Police officers arrived.

They were last seen heading towards Newark Road.

In a statement released today, a spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said:

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen these men and anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the this area at around the time of the incident.

No arrests have yet been made and the investigation is ongoing.
