A man has appeared in court following a robbery at Lincoln City FC earlier this month.

On Wednesday 1 July, a break-in was reported at the lounge of Lincoln City Football Club on Sincil Bank, Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police subsequently issued a public appeal seeking the identification of two male suspects.

Now, it has been confirmed that Ricky Richmond, 20, stole hundreds of pounds worth of food and alcohol from the club.

Appearing at Lincoln Magistrates Court, Richmond pleaded guilty to stealing the items.

He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34.

A 17-year-old male is also due to appear at court this week in connection with the incident.

Richmond, of Manby Street, Lincoln has now been fined £40 and ordered to repay £263 after appearing at Lincoln Magistrates Court.

In total, he has been ordered to pay back a total of £337.
