CCTV appeal following fraud in Doncaster
South Yorkshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an incident of fraud.
It is reported that a man entered a property in the Armthorpe area of Doncaster under the false pretences of selling tobacco.
He then handed the victim, who is a 66-year-old woman several bags which contained cardboard boxes filled with wood instead of tobacco.
She handed him £2,350 in exchange.
The offence is thought to have taken place on 11 March 2020 at around 1pm.
As part of an ongoing investigation, officers have now launched a public appeal.
