Council to install additional RTI displays

Eight new real time information displays are to be installed at a number of additional locations, North East Lincolnshire Council have confirmed.

Following consultations with local residents, the need for additional displays along Scartho Road and Cromwell Road in Grimsby has been identified.

Works are expected to take around 10 days to complete.

The works will be done on a rolling programme from Monday 10 August, and will be complete by Friday 21 August.

RTI screens provide bus passengers with the latest journey information, advising on when they can expect their next bus to arrive, with the aim to improve information provided at bus stops and make public transport more accessible.

For the safety of both residents and the workforce, localised traffic management will be in place on the footpath.

The highway network will not be affected.

Minimal disruption is expected, however local residents are being notified via post.

Additional RTI screens will be installed at the following locations:

Scartho Road, Grimsby:

  • Bus stop near to Sutcliffe Avenue
  • Bus stop near to St Helens Avenue
  • Bus stop near to Pelham Avenue
  • Bus stop near to Matthew Telford Park
  • Bus stop near to Edge Avenue
  • Bus stop near to Conyers Avenue

Cromwell Road, Grimsby:

  • Bus stop near to Service Road 21
  • Bus stop near to Service Road 25

Works are being carried out by McCann Ltd, and managed and overseen by the council’s regeneration partner ENGIE.

R2P will be connecting the screens.
