Two 18-year-olds had to be treated at a medical centre after they were targeted in a gang attack in a Hull park.

The victims are alleged to have been in the park when they were approached by a group of around 15 other teenage boys aged between 14 and 15-years-old.

The group reportedly assaulted both 18-year old men before damaging their fishing equipment.

They both attended medical centres for treatment to their injuries following the assault.

DC Andy Green, from Humberside Police’s Criminal Investigation Department, said:

“This was a nasty attack and I want to offer my reassurance that we are doing everything that we can to find those responsible and bring them to justice.

“The local neighbourhood policing team regularly patrol the area to prevent incidents and offer reassurance and I would encourage anyone with any concerns of information about the assault to please stop and talk to them.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the incident and ask anyone that was in the area at the time and saw anything that might help our enquiries to call our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 447 of 23 July.

“Alternatively you can report information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
