Local attractions launch 3D tours
Visitors will now be able to enjoy some of North Lincolnshire Council‘s major tourist attractions from home, as 3 new 3D tours are launched online.
These exciting tours have been launched in light of the coronavirus crisis, and to improve accessibility for people with mobility issues and other health conditions.
They will enable residents to sit back and take their time really getting to know the exhibitions.
Included in the project are North Lincolnshire Museum on Oswald Road, Scunthorpe, the Rural Life Museum in Normanby Park and historic Normanby Hall itself.
Visitors can also click on information points to discover more about the venues and exhibits.
The tours also have added hotspots which include additional content such as key information and even videos.
The 3D experience means that visitors can now explore and digest information in their own time.
It also means people can stay up to date with new exhibits and exhibitions, as the tours will be regularly re-recorded to keep them up to date.
The high-tech 3D tours of local attractions have also been recorded in a way that makes their launch compatible with VR headsets, so headset owners can enjoy a truly immersive experience.
