Investigations are underway after sentimental jewellery was stolen in a burglary at an address on Nicholson Way in Epworth earlier this week.

Among the items stolen is a charm containing the ashes of the victim’s father.

It was reported that someone broke into the flat on Nicholson Way sometime between 10.15am and 1.15pm on Tuesday 28 July.

The suspects are alleged to have carried out a search of the property before taking a mahogany jewellery box containing jewellery.

The victim has described the box as “looking old and had a padded lid with orange and brown flower decoration”.

Inside were a number of different items, some of which were of sentimental value including a Pandora charm bracelet with a violet coloured glass charm on.

A statement issued by Humberside Police said:

“We’re appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw something suspicious or anyone with information about the whereabouts of the stolen items to please call us on our non-emergency 101 line quoting log 259 of 28 July.

“Alternatively you can report information anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
