Police cordon off area after report of a serious sex attack in Grimsby

An area of Grimsby has been sealed off by police following a report of a serious sexual offence in the early hours of this morning.
A cordon is in place between Riby Street and Orwell Street.
Humberside Police officers attended the location at around 4am after receiving a report from a member of the public.
Detective Inspector Ian Wright said: “We are in the very early stages of the investigation however numerous actions and enquiries have already been undertaken and will be continuing throughout the day.
“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers, and I want to offer my reassurance to the public that we are treating this incident as a priority.
“Neighbourhood officers will be patrolling the area and are available should anyone want to speak to them.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may be able to assist with the investigation to please come forward.”
Police believe the suspect to be a white man aged between 19 and 23, of a stocky build with dark hair and wearing a grey tracksuit.
