Cheers to Grimsby pub’s return
Beer drinkers in Grimsby will be raising a glass on Friday when one of the town’s most popular pubs reopens.
Docks Beers in King Edward Street announced today (Monday, August 3) that it will be pulling pints again on Friday after temporarily shutting its doors due to coronavirus.
“As many of you know we’ve waited this out, but as a business we simply cannot wait anymore,” said a spokesperson.
“Safety is of the utmost importance to us, and with the need to comply with all current government guidance there will be more hygiene protocols, fewer tables in our taproom, but more outside.
“Plus we will be a completely cashless bar.”
The team also announced that to safely accommodate larger groups of people it is opening its new bar in the Docks Academy upstairs.
“We have 12 big tables for groups of four to six people that must be booked in advance (deposits will be required).
“We will launch the new booking system on our website for these tables this week.
“If you haven’t yet seen Docks Academy in all its glory, now is your opportunity!”
Street food vendor So Toasted will be on-site Friday, Saturday and Sunday, specialising in ‘posh toasties’.
“The whole Docks team is looking forward to welcoming you back to ‘The Church of Beer’,” added the spokesperson.
