Changes to Top Town Market open hours
As of Monday 10 August, open hours at Grimsby’s Top Town Market will change temporarily in response to requests from traders, and in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The market, based in the Bull Ring at Grimsby Town Centre, has continued to operate throughout the lockdown.
Hours will now be temporarily reduced.
The revised opening hours will mean the market will now be open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 9am and 4pm.
The food hall will also be changing its open hours.
From Monday 10 August, the food hall will be open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
Councillor John Fenty, deputy leader and portfolio holder for housing, regeneration and skills at North East Lincolnshire Council, said:
“Following calls from traders, we will be temporarily reducing opening hours to support traders during these ever-changing times.
“We recognise that the coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on businesses and their customers, and we want to do what we can to support businesses.
“These temporary changes will hopefully make it easier for Market traders to operate as customers return to their shopping habits.
“We will continue to review this approach regularly as customer footfall levels change.”
