Police have released video footage after a ‘nasty group attack’ on a 12-year-old boy in a Dudley park.

West Midlands Police are asking anyone who knows the person in the film to contact them.

The incident happened in Netherton Park and the boy suffered three knife wounds to the head, a fractured arm, and his phone was also taken during the attack at just before 5pm on June 24.

PC Emily Wallin, from force CID at Dudley, said: “This was a nasty attack but fortunately the knife wounds were not serious.

“He was left with a fractured arm and the whole experience was extremely traumatic for him. I would urge anyone who can help our enquiries to get in touch.”

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released under investigation. A 12-year-old girl and another boy aged 13 have been voluntary interviewed in connection with the attack.
