Mobile testing units come to Hull

Mobile testing units are being deployed across different areas of Hull and Yorkshire in order to make it easier for people to get tested for coronavirus.

The travelling unit will be stationed at locations across the region.

Due to social distancing restrictions, testing will be offered by appointment only.

Between Tuesday 1 September and Friday 4 September, as well as Sunday 6 September, the unit will be stationed at Craven Park in East Hull.

Appointments can be booked through the online referral portal via the gov.uk website.

A permanent regional testing centre has also been established at the Humber Bridge Car Park.

This is a drive through facility and is also strictly by appointment only.

Anybody in the UK who experiences symptoms of coronavirus is eligible for testing.

Symptoms include but are not limited to a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

If you’re getting a test because you have symptoms, you and anyone you live with must self-isolate until you get your result.

You must also self-isolate if you cannot get a test because it’s more than five days since your symptoms started.
